Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filiberto Bermudez kicked off to start the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fulgencio Beremundo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEPORTIVO SJ's protests and gave Fulgencio Beremundo a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes DEPORTIVO SJ got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Beremundo. In the 16th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Christobal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Isidro Christobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Isidro Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO SJ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Isidro Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes DEPORTIVO SJ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Bermudez. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Filiberto Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Mario Ezkerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DEPORTIVO SJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Mario Ezkerra kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by DEPORTIVO SJ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Luis Andino pulled a muscle in his back after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jonathan Marko got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Luis Andino. A collision led to DEPORTIVO SJ getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jonathan Marko hit a great ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Filiberto Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DEPORTIVO SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Beremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Christobal skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Christobal. Isidro Christobal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save DEPORTIVO SJ from getting a goal against them. Diego Mancebo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Isidro Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTIVO SJ's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Christobal came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Isidro Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isidro Christobal quite easily take care of the ball. DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Sancho 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
