Makis Tselementes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 18th minute Allan Santos suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. 18 minutes into the game, Vassilis Banasidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos City the free kick. Santos City made a substitution. Davi Vieira replaced Allan Santos. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Vassilis Banasidis got a free kick in the 20th minute. Santos City's Ian Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petros Giannakis in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aris Voutsas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Ramalho was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Jânio Hermes struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Makis Tselementes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos City.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Sergipano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Petros Kounadopoulos. Petros Giannakis kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 56thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Santos City's keeper Ian Ramalho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Sergipano during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antônio Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santos City's Antônio Sergipano got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ian Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Giannakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Santos City getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jânio Hermes hit a great ball. Ian Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Petros Giannakis sent off a good shot on target. Santos City's Ian Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Santos City from getting a goal against them. Takis Saltamaras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Davi Vieira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Kostas Triantopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aris Voutsas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makis Tselementes having to interfere. Ian Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Giannakis in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Aris Voutsas made a precise shot to the right of Ian Ramalho. Santos City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. ΠΑΟΚ FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
