The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Oscar Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Gustafsson charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Gustafsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Verner Ekeroth fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lassens's protests and gave Verner Ekeroth a yellow card for diving instead. 15 minutes into the game, one of FC Lassens:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Lillbo BK a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan-Ove Gustavsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Lassens's Viktor Bengtsson. 1-0. The FC Lassens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Bengtsson should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Lundberg got free with Viktor Bengtsson in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eric Gustafsson was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 42 minutes into the game, Magne Blanck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lassens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lillbo BK the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Löfdahl was the one to do the kick off. When Jörgen Lundström fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lassens's protests and gave Jörgen Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Lassens's Jörgen Lundström got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 58 minutes, Ingvar Löfdahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lassens and the Lillbo BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lillbo BK's goalkeeper Erland Vallin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viktor Bengtsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Salqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börge Klintæus hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Lillbo BK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
