The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Griskultingarnas FF got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Sjøholm. If Gerardo Lordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Gerardo Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natasha Sjøholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström got control of the ball when Jochem Klooster tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Busk in the 14th minute of play. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Margarita from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Griskultingarnas FF's zone, Witomir Pisarczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natasha Sjøholm came out of the goal and Witomir Pisarczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Witomir Pisarczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natasha Sjøholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natasha Sjøholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 23rd minute of the match. Jimmy Busk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pontus Nordström came out and tried to block the shot, but Jimmy Busk slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. Björn Utter's late challenge caught a Santa Margarita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Björn Utter helped the player get up and apologised. Pontus Nordström made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jochem Klooster sent off a good shot on target. Jochem Klooster's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pontus Nordström firmly grabbed it by the left post. Björn Utter made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Olívio Sjøholm. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Margarita from getting a goal against them. 48 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Smedfeldt came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witomir Pisarczyk was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 52nd minute of play forced Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Utter was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Björn Utter hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Griskultingarnas FF's Björn Utter got a free kick in the 57th minute. Mauro Icardi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natasha Sjøholm having to make a save. Mauro Icardi came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Natasha Sjøholm could save by the left post. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Wendell Davids replaced Enzo Peruxu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Icardi got free with Natasha Sjøholm in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natasha Sjøholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Icardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Jochem Klooster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Nordström having to interfere. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Smedfeldt in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th minute Jonatan Smedfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Mauro Icardi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm. Natasha Sjøholm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Smedfeldt in the 86th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natasha Sjøholm. That made the score 1-3 after 91 minutes of play. The Griskultingarnas FF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Santa Margarita's performance. The match ended with a win for Santa Margarita.
