The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute, Luis Bonet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daustad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pontus Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 minutes Daustad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enzo Peruxu who took care of the corner kick. Andréas Hasselqvist was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daustad's Jo Øverås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Daustad's Luis Bonet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pontus Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Daustad's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Peruxu was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Margarita's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Enzo Peruxu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Daustad's Jo Øverås did a great save. Witomir Pisarczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jo Øverås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Bonet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Bonet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Margarita from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Witomir Pisarczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jo Øverås came out of the goal and Witomir Pisarczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Mauro Icardi replaced Witomir Pisarczyk. After some careless play in the Santa Margarita defense, Luis Bonet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pontus Nordström. The Santa Margarita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pontus Nordström should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Daustad's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Icardi came free, but Jo Øverås reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashraf Hakimi in the 83rd minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Peng Song Ting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Bonet got free with Pontus Nordström in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Bonet. After a rather tough play, Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi got a free kick in the 96th minute. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Wendell Davids replaced Enzo Peruxu. Mauro Icardi kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Daustad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
