In the 7th minute, Robert Wnukowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Cantona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Hieronim Mentis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Radomiak Radom's Casper Rydelius quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jo Gvardiol, made in the 15th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Cantona got free with Hieronim Mentis in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute of the match Saga TF got a corner. Radomiak Radom's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brian Laudrup ran over to the corner to take the kick. 30 minutes into the match, Robert Wnukowski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Saga TF's Joachim Forseth. Joachim Forseth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Saga TF's Brian Laudrup got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 61st minute, Santi Urbieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hieronim Mentis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Cantona, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th match minute, Saga TF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Backman to maneuver through the defense. Radomiak Radom's Robert Wnukowski got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radomiak Radom's Cristiano Mbappè was substituted for Robert Wnukowski. In the 75th minute Cristiano Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Forseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Botnen in the 84th minute of play forced Radomiak Radom's goalkeeper Hieronim Mentis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo Gvardiol made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Radomiak Radom's Casper Rydelius. When Saga TF's Erik Cantona in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Radomiak Radom's goalie prevented a goal. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Mbappè in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Cristiano Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Forseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Mbappè took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joachim Forseth. Joachim Forseth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Saga TF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Radomiak Radom's performance. The match ended with a win for Radomiak Radom.
