Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudiu Răducanu in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ball Pitt kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Santa Margarita defense, Claudiu Răducanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pontus Nordström. The Santa Margarita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pontus Nordström should have stopped the shot. The Santa Margarita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MARAZZINO were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Răducanu to strike the kick off in the second half. MARAZZINO's Lütfü Öktemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 53rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Pontus Nordström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pontus Nordström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Cafu Dolar made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jeronimo Heriberto. After a rather tough play, Santa Margarita's David Celio got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Cafu Dolar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The MARAZZINO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MARAZZINO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
