Albérico Igrejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sport Maia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Narciso Gombal was slow to take the kick. During this time Chivos de Punto Fijo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chivos de Punto Fijo's Pere Bombardier to fire away a dangerous shot which Albérico Igrejas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Chivos de Punto Fijo booed when Sport Maia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermano Novais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Maia's Albérico Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Marinho in the 16th minute of play. Albérico Igrejas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilmar Marinho's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Marinho in the 18th minute of play forced Sport Maia's goalkeeper Albérico Igrejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Chivos de Punto Fijo got a corner. Sport Maia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Narciso Gombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mannuel Ser was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 24th minute, Nilmar Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Albérico Igrejas. Sport Maia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 27th minute Emmerich Hatschek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albérico Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmerich Hatschek in the 36th minute of play forced Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Dani Hernández to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albérico Igrejas came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos de Punto Fijo's Nilmar Marinho. But to his dismay, Nilmar Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmerich Hatschek in the 39th minute of play. Jerónimo Avelar kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Nilmar Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chivos de Punto Fijo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Nilmar Marinho struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Albérico Igrejas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivos de Punto Fijo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Trinca to make the kick off. Sport Maia's Albérico Igrejas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Maia from getting a goal against them. Chivos de Punto Fijo were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Sport Maia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Narciso Gombal took the corner. In the 59th minute Nilmar Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Igrejas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albérico Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 61st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zhao Shu Cheng during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Zhao Shu Cheng got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski was substituted for Pier Kopacz. In the 63rd match minute, Chivos de Punto Fijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhao Shu Cheng to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Chivos de Punto Fijo's 白桦旭 got a free kick in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Trinca came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albérico Igrejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Makomaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Francisco Trinca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Sport Maia's Albérico Igrejas got control of the ball when Juan Torrent tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Cezary Makomaski came free and shot a quick shot against goal 73 minutes in the game, fortunately Albérico Igrejas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezary Makomaski in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albérico Igrejas saved Sport Maia from getting behind. Gaston Botinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chivos de Punto Fijo's Cezary Makomaski in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Maia's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Cezary Makomaski put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Albérico Igrejas. A hard shot 84 in the game by Juan Torrent from a close distance when the talented Albérico Igrejas managed to make a qualified save. Sport Maia's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Chivos de Punto Fijo's zone, Emmerich Hatschek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Hernández came out of the goal and Emmerich Hatschek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the game, Cezary Makomaski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Albérico Igrejas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Maia's goalkeeper Albérico Igrejas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 minutes Sport Maia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filip Bochinski who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Juan Torrent managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 96th minute, Juan Torrent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chivos de Punto Fijo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
