Rodney Church made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Toledano in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Webb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Gabriel Brizuela got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Valenzuela during the 58th minute. Marcelo Quijada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Mora. The long shot by Harry Johnson in the 77th minute really tested Jose Miguel Marin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ken Blackwater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Miguel Marin having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Memphis Grizzlies's Franz Henry ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jose Miguel Marin. Jose Miguel Marin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Brian Patterson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Leonel Jimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Henry in the 93rd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Jose Miguel Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Miguel Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Wiltshire, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
