After having played for 6 minutes, Benjamin Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZORZAL01's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Efren Viscarra hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Jose Miguel Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Nardo in the 9th minute of the match. ZORZAL01 were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after GuateFortín's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgardo Nardo took the corner. Gaudencio Richie was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Marcelo Quijada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Quijada really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jose Miguel Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Dalmau charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Dalmau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaudencio Richie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Brizuela in the 29th minute. Jose Miguel Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes, Jorge Valenzuela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the ZORZAL01 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ZORZAL01 booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Valenzuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. ZORZAL01's Gaudencio Richie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Brizuela in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Paolo Gotzon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the ZORZAL01 defense, Gabriel Brizuela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Richie. The ZORZAL01 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Richie should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Nardo made a kick off. Paolo Gotzon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Jose Miguel Marin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paolo Gotzon scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Miguel Marin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Nardo in the 60th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Jose Miguel Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GuateFortín's Cesar Sanchez was substituted for Ruben Toledano. Jorge Valenzuela hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Jorge Collado got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Jimenez. ZORZAL01's Everardo Calvino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jose Miguel Marin but with some difficulty. Jose Miguel Marin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Everardo Calvino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 68 minute of play. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cesar Sanchez hit a great ball. ZORZAL01's Edgardo Nardo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, ZORZAL01's Edgardo Nardo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jose Miguel Marin. Jose Miguel Marin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Jose Miguel Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Wilber Barragan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ZORZAL01's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
