Memphis Grizzlies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jair Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Franky Van Der Elst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, José Luis Cuciuffo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters rose to their feet, but José Luis Cuciuffo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24's goalkeeper Rodolfo Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Memphis Grizzlies's Franky Van Der Elst got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Freitas in the 61st minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Gez Winship to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Franky Van Der Elst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the final whistle went the supporters of ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Memphis Grizzlies side.
