In the 37th minute, Ricardo Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Mora's late challenge caught a PEÇONHENTO FC MG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Mora helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Mora to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Giovanni Simões from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Jose Miguel Marin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. GuateFortín were furious when Efren Viscarra was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Efren Viscarra got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Pitta in the 57th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Jose Miguel Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Alvarez. Jose Miguel Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno da Costa in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jorge Collado hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in PEÇONHENTO FC MG's zone, Danilo Viscarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Simões came out of the goal and Danilo Viscarra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luisão Simões got control of the ball when Ricardo Mora tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruben Toledano hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Ricardo Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Bruno da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Miguel Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Neļķis in the 83rd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Jose Miguel Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Viscarra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisão Simões having to make a save. Ricardo Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Simões having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Danilo Viscarra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luisão Simões quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
