With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Thiago de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Franky Van Der Elst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Luis Cuciuffo in the 40th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Franky Van Der Elst. Baltazar Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gez Winship having to interfere. Lance Mowlem's late challenge caught a FALCÕES VERDES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Mowlem helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lance Mowlem hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Franky Van Der Elst made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FALCÕES VERDES's Dalmo Sergipano got control of the ball when José Luis Cuciuffo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, Memphis Grizzlies's José Luis Cuciuffo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dalmo Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Júlio Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dalmo Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Luis Cuciuffo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Clóvis Marinho's late challenge caught a Memphis Grizzlies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clóvis Marinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Marinho. When Benjamin Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FALCÕES VERDES's protests and gave Benjamin Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. The Memphis Grizzlies players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
