After a rather tough play, Amboy FC's Maximino Aznaro got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Severiano Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Dudu Neļķis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Severiano Santo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Vivaldo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of PEÇONHENTO FC MG booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Senin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dudu Neļķis hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Severiano Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Atilano Fidencio put in a rough tackle. After recieving a nice pass, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Dudu Neļķis tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 30thth minute of the game Israel Montae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luisão Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Simões to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the game, Elói Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Severiano Santo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Israel Montae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisão Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Gabirel, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Gomes came free, but Severiano Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisão Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Montae's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The Amboy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PEÇONHENTO FC MG were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Gabirel to make the kick off. Luisão Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Gabirel in the 52nd minute of the match. Israel Montae charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Israel Montae the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Montae to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Montae in the 77th minute of the match. Amboy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Gabirel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Israel Montae made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Simões. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Santiago Gabirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Santo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Elói Nogueira sent off a good shot on target.
