Placido Cordarell was slow to take the kick. Preston Esposito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jose Field made the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Lehoi charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebio Lehoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito got control of the ball when Eusebio Lehoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Inautzi. In the 60th minute, Eusebio Lehoi made a precise shot to the right of Preston Esposito. In the 85th minute, Jose Aritza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Preston Esposito. The goal made the score 0-7. 88 minutes into the game, Jose Aritza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Preston Esposito. Jose Aritza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 91st minute Santiago Sosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Preston Esposito made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Florencio Paz sent off a good shot on target. When Santiago Sosa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. In the 95th minute, Santiago Sosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Deportivo Balvanera could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO throughout the match.
