In the 9th minute Eusebio Lehoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Iraido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alto Jering in the 13th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebio Lehoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tadeo Iraido. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Eusebio Lehoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
