Jose Field started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Siro Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Lawrence Eckert got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 9thth minute of the game Siro Salamon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Diego Eterno fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Diego Eterno's Siro Salamon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Casimiro Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rocco Espinosa in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Diego Eterno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Mirande to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Eckert in the 25th minute of play forced Diego Eterno's goalkeeper Casimiro Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Pascal Sheldon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pascal Sheldon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pascal Sheldon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Diego Eterno:s goal. The referee gave Diego Eterno a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aurelio Enol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito. 1-2. 31 minutes into the game, Elvio Gorka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Preston Esposito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Diego Eterno's Elvio Gorka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Preston Esposito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Siro Salamon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preston Esposito having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jose Field managed to get in a good position for a shot. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Field was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Astrada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Siro Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Siro Salamon to strike the kick off in the second half. Diego Eterno's Casimiro Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrod Mixon in the 60th minute of play. Jose Field might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casimiro Astrada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Field ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Field in the 64th minute of play forced Diego Eterno's goalkeeper Casimiro Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Gorka during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diego Eterno getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Elvio Gorka hit a great ball. Preston Esposito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Salamon in the 70th minute of the match. Casimiro Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Field in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Field in the 78th minute of play forced Diego Eterno's goalkeeper Casimiro Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rocco Espinosa took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Astrada. Casimiro Astrada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. After having played for 85 minutes, Jose Field managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Field was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Diego Eterno got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bastia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocco Espinosa in the 94th minute of play forced Diego Eterno's goalkeeper Casimiro Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Diego Eterno to win.
