In the 22nd match minute, AZURDUY F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Tome to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Gabriel Brizuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ruben Toledano fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GuateFortín's protests and gave Ruben Toledano a yellow card for diving instead. Ruben Toledano hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Quijada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Cipriano Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZURDUY F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulises Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Quijada in the 56th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Danilo Viscarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GuateFortín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AZURDUY F.C. the free kick. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 60 minutes play.
