Rodrigo Pes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute Jose Field shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Veronica came free, but Preston Esposito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Jose Field shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Veronica received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Preston Esposito came out and tried to block the shot, but Florentino Veronica slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. Caballeritos del Baile's Rodrigo Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Eckert in the 30th minute of play. Preston Esposito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arsenio Cristos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 39th minute, Florentino Veronica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Preston Esposito was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Endura in the 51st minute of play forced DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Preston Esposito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 67 minutes on the clock, Pascal Sheldon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 74 minutes into the game, Florentino Veronica cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Preston Esposito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Cristos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Federico Lassiter hit a great ball. If Arsenio Cristos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rocco Espinosa came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rocco Espinosa couldn't finish the play.
