Ulises Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Aritza in the 4th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Cipriano Chuan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron. Abel Neron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the game, Leandro Cordarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ulises Bastian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eusebio Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ulises Bastian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Teofilo Etxatxu got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when AZURDUY F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. Ulises Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Leandro Cordarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Santiago Sosa hit a great ball. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Lehoi in the 45th minute of play. Eusebio Lehoi took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulises Bastian. Ulises Bastian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Chuan to strike the kick off in the second half. Jose Aritza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Bastian having to interfere. When Leandro Cordarin came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Deportivo Balvanera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Cordarin couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Chaime. Deportivo Balvanera's Florencio Paz was substituted for Lorenzo Berto. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Rene Restu replaced Ramiro Quin. In the 64th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Chaime to maneuver through the defense. Ulises Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 70th minute of the match. Cipriano Chuan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Jose Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ulises Bastian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Restu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulises Bastian came out and tried to block the shot, but Rene Restu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 96th minute. Deportivo Balvanera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
