In the 4th match minute, Los Hijos de Doña Beija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Haritzeder to maneuver through the defense. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Donostia in the 5th minute of play. Gilbert Godefroid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Higinio Aguilera made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's goal looked a bit too open when Jyrki Sillanpää came free, but Florencio Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Signoretti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Feliciano Haritzeder got a free kick in the 28th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Higinio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Godefroid, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. But to his dismay, Dave Signoretti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Luís Fábio Rocha replaced Indiana Jones. SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Gilbert Godefroid quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abelardo Domenec, made in the 72nd minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's Gilbert Godefroid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Donostia in the 77th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florencio Cutberto was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Luís Fábio Rocha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felipe Olivar was slow to take the kick. During this time SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Felipe Olivar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Aguilera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Hijos de Doña Beija walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
