Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Sefer in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mati Suárez during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when La Pantera Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mati Suárez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Ahmet Sefer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute La Pantera Azulgrana were awarded a corner. Mati Suárez went to the cornerflag to take it. La Pantera Azulgrana's Rolands Schiavi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Branislav Velchevski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. La Pantera Azulgrana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mati Suárez in the 25th minute. The corner led La Pantera Azulgrana's Mati Suárez to fire away a dangerous shot which Branislav Velchevski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rafael Dalmu hit a great ball. Denis Fidele hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Sefer struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Branislav Velchevski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pantera Azulgrana. The long shot by Bonifacio Suarez in the 44th minute really tested Dibag Martinez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 45th minute, Arnaldo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 48 minutes, Arnaldo Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Gabon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Sefer to make the kick off. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Sefer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 59th minute of play forced La Pantera Azulgrana's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. Aristides Asteri replaced Arnaldo Gabon. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. La Pantera Azulgrana's Denis Fidele quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Olle Snell, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Dibag Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Asteri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Esteban Iztal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Pantera Azulgrana's Dibag Martinez did a great save. Dibag Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Esteban Iztal went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Esteban Iztal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dibag Martinez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dibag Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, André Monclús ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dibag Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 85 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Sefer came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Ahmet Sefer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the match, Ahmet Sefer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Sefer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The La Pantera Azulgrana players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
