Alcorcón's zone, Adrian Bobeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Adrian Bobeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlantz Bermejo in the 20th minute of play. A.D. Alcorcón were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Olympique Gdynia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nereo Acosta took the corner. Nereo Acosta made a great header on A.D. Alcorcón's corner, it was just that Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski managed to reach the ball for a save. 23 minutes into the match, Tirso Isasaga notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena. Maurino Serena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Adrian Bobeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Gdynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Bobeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Bobeanu struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Maurino Serena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Gdynia. A collision led to Olympique Gdynia getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Şota Arveladze hit a great ball. Apolinar Guijarro made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Erlantz Bermejo immediately put the ball in play. In the 44thth minute of the game Adrian Bobeanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Bobeanu in the 46th minute of play. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta made a great header on Olympique Gdynia's corner, it was just that A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena managed to reach the ball for a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Bobeanu to make the kick off. Şota Arveladze's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maurino Serena firmly grabbed it by the left post. A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Şota Arveladze 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Alcorcón made a substitution. Laurin Mangas replaced Nereo Acosta. Olympique Gdynia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabio-Roman Zabaleta in the 57th minute. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tirso Isasaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.D. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Bobeanu in the 70th minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Tirso Isasaga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 73 played minutes A.D. Alcorcón got a freekick which was hit by Apolinar Guijarro. Tirso Isasaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Bobeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Bobeanu in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Adrian Bobeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adrian Bobeanu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Olympique Gdynia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Bobeanu couldn't finish the play. A.D. Alcorcón's Leroy Antunez was substituted for Belo Alvarez. The Olympique Gdynia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
