Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 何松潮 having to make a save. 沛水龙城's 何松潮 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 何松潮 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, 沛水龙城's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but 何松潮 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 何松潮. 何松潮 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced 沛水龙城's goalkeeper 何松潮 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 何松潮 was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. 何松潮 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. 何松潮 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 何松潮 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 何松潮 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, 沛水龙城's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but 何松潮 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Juan Sebastián Puig notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of 沛水龙城's 何松潮. 何松潮 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 何松潮 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 秦默远 in the 51st minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 何松潮 having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but 何松潮 made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After some careless play in the 沛水龙城 defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 何松潮. The 沛水龙城 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 何松潮 should have stopped the shot.
