Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Kristoffer Kildeskov sent off a good shot on target. Markus Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 15th minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Joseph Edman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoto Boshikyov having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Edman. 12 Monkeys's Yoto Boshikyov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Franz Karms was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 12 Monkeys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 38th minute, Franz Karms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and 12 Monkeys's Yoto Boshikyov didn't even have to move. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes 12 Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Markus Berglund. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Kristoffer Kildeskov notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the 12 Monkeys defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yoto Boshikyov. The 12 Monkeys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yoto Boshikyov should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of play forced 12 Monkeys's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Joseph Edman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Yoto Boshikyov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 12 Monkeys fully deserved thier win.
