Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Günalp Talip kicked off to start the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arın Biçim in the 4th minute of play. Steve Harris kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Iron Maiden FC's Günalp Talip made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arın Biçim in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dave Murray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalberto Nueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adalberto Nueva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Clive Burr kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Rob Halford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes Iron Maiden FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicko McBrain. Adalberto Nueva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 59th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günalp Talip in the 60th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Nueva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iron Maiden FC's García Garate was substituted for Steve Harris. If Arın Biçim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Nueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Günalp Talip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Arın Biçim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Günalp Talip in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adalberto Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Adalberto Nueva made a huge save. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iron Maiden FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adalberto Nueva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Iron Maiden FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
