In the 13th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Camilo Gaos to score against Feliciano Ayala in Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal. 0-1 after 14 minutes. In the 16th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Seber in the 17th minute of play. Danilo Seber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Danilo Seber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-1. After 25 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio James. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Feliciano Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliciano Ayala was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Albino Canor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Seber in the 46th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Santos de Buenos Aires FC made a substitution. Raimundo Joey replaced Rafael Gipuzkoa. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danilo Seber made a kick off. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Seber in the 53rd minute of play. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. In the 61st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio James, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Albino Canor notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teodosio James's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Canor in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Santos de Buenos Aires FC were awarded a corner. Matias Remir went to the cornerflag to take it. If Albino Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Albino Canor put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 89th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Danilo Seber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santos de Buenos Aires FC had won after a very even match.
