In the 27th minute, one of Perthes United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Perthes United. Edmundo Espiga shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 34th play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Jean-Marie Sanquer and just under the crossbar into goal. Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 43rd minute of play. Loïc Curt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. In the 87thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Tafalla hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Honduras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
