In the 30th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çakır Alyakut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Çakır Alyakut was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henk Veerman in the 55th managed to get into a good position.
