After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Joshua Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. During this time SPARROWS's players had a chance to rest. Vitko Hadzhiiliev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The SPARROWS fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when SPARROWS's Chen Yi Ran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
