Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Marchewka in the 93rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Spartans Lodz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andris Kapenieks didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Spartans Lodz throughout the match.
