Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Abel Matro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignacio Fernández kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Joel Gaona scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Matro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Matro. Abel Matro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 29 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Abel Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Matro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Deunoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Gonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ignacio Fernández sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Plumerillo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacobo Gonzo to make the kick off. Plumerillo's Abel Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Gonzo in the 53rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahadırhan Yılğıralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Fernández in the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Plumerillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Ellande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugeniusz Koczara hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
