In the 7th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Tofani in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Andrea Tofani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Andrea Tofani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Tofani in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Andrea Tofani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alexsandro Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Al Berto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Alexsandro Godoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 55 minutes, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monty Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexsandro Godoi saved I ritirandi di Canaus from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexsandro Godoi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 minutes, Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. USA's Marco Day tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sam Campbell took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexsandro Godoi. Alexsandro Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
