Raul Porfirio's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Porfirio helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ got a freekick which was hit by Raul Porfirio. In the 8th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Idacio. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Idacio came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eloy Idacio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Damaso Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Idacio. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eloy Idacio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th match minute, Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Abecia to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eloy Idacio. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Eloy Idacio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Idacio having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Idacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalkeeper Eloy Idacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Idacio. Eloy Idacio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eloy Idacio, 0-7. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Idacio having to interfere. Cristian Sancho scored 0-8 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Idacio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 84 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Eloy Idacio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita scored 0-12 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Idacio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-13. The Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
