The shot was a little too simple and Dursun Ali Mensur could save by the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after SEFEROĞULLARI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Dursun Ali Mensur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
