An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Souto in the 27th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Léo Souto's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Cambotinha EC's Léo Souto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 54 minutes, Raul Venegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Cambotinha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Falcão Novaes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Léo Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Azevedo having to interfere. Paraguay's Ivan Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Falcão Novaes in the 61 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Doğaner Doğu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Souto came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Doğaner Doğu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Doğaner Doğu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Souto in the 93rd minute of the match.
