Barrie Kerridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in BAIRES's zone, Kim Bolas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Cambiasso came out of the goal and Kim Bolas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Bolas got free with Anibal Cambiasso in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Anibal Cambiasso managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 10 minutes BAIRES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baran Erozan who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sliema Dragons FC's corner Matteo Borda fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anibal Cambiasso quite easily take care of the ball. Kim Bolas took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Cambiasso. Anibal Cambiasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Kim Bolass short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Anibal Cambiasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Cambiasso came free, but Barrie Kerridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 31stth minute of the game Kim Bolas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anibal Cambiasso was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Kim Bolas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kim Bolas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 40thth minute of the game Kim Bolas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barrie Kerridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Cambiasso in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Cambiasso was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marciano Cambiasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 53rd minute of play forced BAIRES's goalkeeper Anibal Cambiasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso. Anibal Cambiasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the match, BAIRES's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bolas came free, but Anibal Cambiasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Kim Bolas made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Cambiasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dejan Cassar in the 73rd minute of the match. Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Dejan Cassar made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Cambiasso. BAIRES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Barrie Kerridge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Cambiasso in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Dejan Cassar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Cambiasso. BAIRES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dejan Cassar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 88 minutes into the game, Dejan Cassar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Anibal Cambiasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barrie Kerridge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquin Cambiasso in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in BAIRES's zone, Dejan Cassar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Cambiasso came out of the goal and Dejan Cassar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Cambiasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BAIRES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sliema Dragons FC the free kick. A collision led to BAIRES getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ubaldo Cambiasso hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Dejan Cassar sped through BAIRES's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anibal Cambiasso. Sliema Dragons FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of BAIRES for a fine match.
