With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Marines prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Marines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tunç Erokay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Marines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yakut Kudret's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Navigators's Rıfat Tümkan was substituted for Mehmet Halis Işıklı. Navigators made a substitution. Abdulkadir Cihanmert replaced Çelik Adal. In the 70th minute Alexis McAllister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayati Işık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Navigators and the Barcelona de América players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Navigators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metin Kurt to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
