In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antero Linhares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Antero Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of the match. Marcelo Nunes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Feios Porcos E Maus's Antero Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antero Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Takis Parlapidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Takis Parlapidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antero Linhares. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Antero Linhares as he didn't even see the shot coming. Antero Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antero Linhares. That made the score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. In the 63rd minute Takis Parlapidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Feios Porcos E Maus booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Telinhos in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antero Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Antero Linhares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Antero Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Feios Porcos E Maus and deserved their victory. The Feios Porcos E Maus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
