In the 32nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Lendaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Arnaldo Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogério Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermínio Lendaa went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
