De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek. De Keikoppers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lionel Van Den Broek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rolf Huveneers took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Frederik Dhondt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. In the 46th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Van Den Broek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 50th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Van Der Meren in the 51st minute of play. Lionel Van Den Broek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. When De Keikoppers's Sem De Kelper in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. One couldn't see Daniel Zorita behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sem De Kelper in the 65th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Keikoppers were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rolf Huveneers took the corner. De Keikoppers's Glenn De Smedt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save De Keikoppers from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 71st minute of the match. Sem De Kelper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Lionel Van Den Broek made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sem De Kelper in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Lionel Van Den Broek made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Juan Sebastián Puig's late challenge caught a De Keikoppers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Sebastián Puig helped the player get up and apologised. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ecuador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
