Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chris Tinselboer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to FCF north getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Donald Hoiting hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 26th minute. Chris Tinselboer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Arcan Çapan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCF north's goalkeeper Chris Tinselboer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 played minutes FCF north got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Bilintx. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xie Yan in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Steelman in the 55th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Tinselboer having to interfere. Xie Yan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FCF north's Chris Tinselboer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save FCF north from getting a goal against them. FCF north's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Felix Montenegro 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arcan Çapan in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-1 became the score in the 79th minute when Xie Yan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Çapan in the 81st minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
