Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Cesario in the 7th minute of the match. Georg Godholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Jacinto Cesario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georg Godholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Cesario in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Mariano Lacasa scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Godholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Cesario came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 44th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Freddy Dimo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. The FC Shifen III players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georg Godholm. FC Shifen III's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Georg Godholm made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Jacinto Cesario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Cesario in the 68th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Cesario in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Cesario in the 71st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Mariano Lacasa put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Georg Godholm. FC Shifen III's Şerif Aytolun was substituted for Eulalio Jakes. Mariano Lacasa scored 2-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Godholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Martin Fossum managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Shifen III's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Fossum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Fossum went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. 89 minutes into the game, Orlando Casaus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Georg Godholm. Orlando Casaus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-6. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
