The supporters of Mexico booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Baraquiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gianluca Vialli sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loco De la Maza. Falckner FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 43rd minute Bautista Elvira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loco De la Maza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bautista Elvira in the 44th minute of the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bautista Elvira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Shantala to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Falckner FC's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loco De la Maza came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Zorita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bautista Elvira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Loco De la Maza could save by the left post. In the 89th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Bilbo to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Loco De la Maza threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lautaro Mancebo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Loco De la Maza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The Falckner FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
