Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Miguel Zuasnabar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 11 played minutes Gavião Kyikatejê got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Bittencourt. 15 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Bittencourt came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gavião Kyikatejê getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Rodney Lindov hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Miguel Zuasnabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 31st minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodney Lindov in the 37th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodney Lindov was slow to take the kick. During this time Gavião Kyikatejê's players had a chance to rest. Fabian Brown hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 42nd minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Miguel Zuasnabar made the kick off in the second half. If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 71st minute of the match. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Monty Rogers in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Sitthachat Jampeehom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
