A well-hit corner resulted in 罗树夕 heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 2-0 became the score in the 11th minute when 罗树夕 elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 罗树夕 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edinho Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Yerro in the 31st minute of play. Edinho Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Batho Canelas's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Batho Canelas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mexico booed when Gremengo FCCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batho Canelas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Gremengo FCCMZ's Uriel Bermudez made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Felippe Cavalcante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremengo FCCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After 46 played minutes Gremengo FCCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Cavalcante. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Neto having to interfere. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Edinho Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gremengo FCCMZ's 罗树夕 in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Edinho Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th match minute, Gremengo FCCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Gremengo FCCMZ's Cleiton Neto was substituted for Teofilo Yerro. A collision led to Gremengo FCCMZ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vinícius de Brito hit a great ball. Gremengo FCCMZ's Edinho Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Gremengo FCCMZ from getting a goal against them. Edinho Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Edinho Neto. Gremengo FCCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 77th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 罗树夕, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Edinho Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute. Edinho Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luca Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Luca Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 91st minute. Luca Rouco's late challenge caught a Gremengo FCCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Rouco helped the player get up and apologised.
