With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The Arsenal FC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Arsenal FC's Damaso Orlin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Teodosio Figueroa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 10 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Orlin. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Songur Yoran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Songur Yoran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Damaso Orlin came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Orlin in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Damaso Orlin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-1 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damaso Orlin to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Orlin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edvard Pihl was slow to take the kick. During this time Arsenal FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Tadeusz Paciuszko. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Frands Thygelund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frands Thygelund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Songur Yoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal FC's Damaso Orlin. But to his dismay, Damaso Orlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 64 minutes into the game, Teodosio Figueroa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Arsenal FC's Einar Hedström was substituted for Teodosio Figueroa. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute. Frands Thygelund kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
