Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 7th minute of play. Geronimo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Ongile was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Egemen Aldemir. Geronimo Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 29th minute of play. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Egemen Aldemir made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Belmiro in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. The Gastres FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Gastres FC's Teobaldo Belmiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Peru's Moises Gayoso got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Belmiro to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gastres FC's Eddy Ginanjar got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The throw-in from Egemen Aldemir in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. Gastres FC's attentive Eddy Ginanjar managed to snatch the ball when Moises Gayoso made a throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Geronimo Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gastres FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Gastres FC's Feliberto Cuarto was substituted for Tomasz Zurawski. After 74 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Calistrat Geangu who took care of the corner kick. Gastres FC's Calistrat Geangu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Geronimo Ongile when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Benjamin Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Claus. Geronimo Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Egemen Aldemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gastres FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
