The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valério Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Valério Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. Lara Guadalupi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced MAGNIFICOS.FC's goalkeeper Lara Guadalupi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, MAGNIFICOS.FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lara Guadalupi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lara Guadalupi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by MAGNIFICOS.FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Ortiz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Valério Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. MAGNIFICOS.FC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paul Albeanu took the corner. The supporters of Ecuador booed when MAGNIFICOS.FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play forced MAGNIFICOS.FC's goalkeeper Lara Guadalupi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Valério Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lara Guadalupi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute of the match, Valério Ortiz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. MAGNIFICOS.FC's Lara Guadalupi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play. Felix Montenegro made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MAGNIFICOS.FC's Gilberto Lalla. Lara Guadalupi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Geert Wijgaert came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the MAGNIFICOS.FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geert Wijgaert couldn't finish the play. MAGNIFICOS.FC's Frederico Hermes was substituted for Paul Albeanu. A sloppy throw-in by Felix Montenegro in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MAGNIFICOS.FC's Omer Guyomarch. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geert Wijgaert went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Mané Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MAGNIFICOS.FC's Frederico Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute Geert Wijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geert Wijgaert in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
