Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 25 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ㄇㄜㄕ 01-07-24 had won after a very even match.
